2021 marks our 26th year on this beautiful Western Wisconsin farm, two miles (as the crow flies) off the shores of Lake Pepin, a wide spot on the great Mississippi River. SARS-COV-2 has changed many things but not the day to day of farming. The work of a farm stays blessedly the same from year to year. Still, COVID-19 leaves none of us unscathed. We dropped our weekly Tuesday Pizza Nights in 2020 and do not plan to run them in 2021. PIZZA is in a state of re-invention. While we ruminate on the next incarnation of PIZZA, we'll keep growing food, feeding CSA members, hone our craft, and marvel at the power of the sun. It grows plants, feeds our animals and keeps our walk-in coolers running!
Our three children are grown and doing their own things but without their help and inspiration we wouldn’t be here. Many young people interested in farming have shepherded this 80-acre parcel along. CSA members have eaten their way through the years and Pizza Night has fed us all in ways unexpected.
Thanks to everyone who has had a hand in making this farm… well… A Farm!
